Green Tea? Green Tea

Green Tea? Green Tea

Ok so I’m guessing you’ve heard this before but…

Green tea is really good for you

According to the NHS :

Green tea contains B vitamins, folate (naturally occurring folic acid), manganese, potassium, magnesium, caffeine and other antioxidants (notably catechins).

SO to hopefully try and inspire you to try green tea (admittedly I have only started drinking about 3 weeks ago and not very regularly unfortunately – but hey! I’m a teenager what it regular in my life!) I am going to introduce you to my TOP 3 GREEN TEAS which are top because they are relatively affordable versus some of those on the market and because they taste SO DAMN GOOD – so you’ll actually want to drink them rather than treat it as more of a chore.  Read more

De-Stressing

STRESSSSS ARGH!!!

So if you’ve followed me on Instagram you’ll know how busy my schedule has been recently and how stressed I’ve been so although I thought I’d be able to post every other day I’m not sure that’s feasible!
Based on this I thought it would be suitable to write a post on HOW TO UNWIND AND DE-STRESS

I have actually gone quite a lot of research ahead of this in Pinterest and have compiled the best ways to relax and destress below:

1. TAKE A HOT BATH OR SHOWER

This one’s simple, sometimes when you’re feeling wound up and at wits end all that you need is a warm bath or shower. I find that the steam simply helps my muscles and my mind to relax and with the use of some aromatherapy it’s even better! This one works particularly well with method no. 3 as well!

2. DRINK A HOT DRINK

You know that feeling when the warmth from a cuppa spreads from your insides outwards?
I don’t know why but I feel there’s something so pleasurably and comforting in simply sitting and sipping a hot drink from your favourite mug. Whether it’s coffee, hot chocolate or simply milk I feel that’s it’s one of the most simple and best stress relievers! Obviously the one to mention is tea as its herbal benefits are supposed to benefit body and mind. One Pinterest author offers this advice:

So never underestimate the power of a good cuppa

3. LISTEN TO RELAXING MUSIC

I strongly recommend Spotify as a tool for relaxation, on the app you can find many playlists that help you de-stress and kick back. Simply choose the browse tab and within a few clicks your on your way to stress free relaxation!! Here are a few playlists I would recommend:
ACOUSTIC COVERS : http://open.spotify.com/user/spotify/playlist/0UHbhCjKlXnFfv98bKrtKv

And don’t forget to dance it out 😉

4. PLAY WITH A PET

I don’t know if you’ve seen the video where the cats are used as a stress reliever (if not here’s the link http://youtu.be/35T8wtmTbVg) but I think it TOTALLY works, when you’re playing with a cat or dog or even hamster you just get absorbed in their cuteness and your stress melts away!

5. DO SOME LIGHT EXERCISE

{insert typical teenage moan}
DONT WORRY it doesn’t have to be much, some simple yoga positions or something simple can work out that stress inside of you, release good hormones and help your muscles to relax! Here’s some suggested yoga moves
